Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson comes from a musically inclined family. The music she grew up with was classical, old boleros as well as traditional romantic and Ranchero songs. Ana is a fan of tangos and operas as well as other dramatic shows. She started singing and studying the piano with her mom, she began her more intensive training in singing at the age of 16 with renowned Mexican Tenor Flavio Becerra. The training in music continued at the School of Music of Guadalajara University. Then, she enrolled in The School of Sacred Music of Toluca. In Guadalajara and Mexico City, she was an active member of numerous opera ensembles as well as chamber groups. After moving from Mexico to America at the age of 2000, she sang for the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. She is currently a member of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and often performs as a soloist of classical Latin American music at private events. She is passionate about singing, music and the arts keep her involved in local activities in both her capacity as an artist and instructor. Ana is also a past participant in the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana is privileged to be able bring to others her passion for the traditional Latin American music. She hopes that this will inspire younger generations to preserve the traditions.
