MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. He has made major global advancements into Latin pop mainstream. In 2017 the hit song from 2016 Una Lady Como Tu won the Colombian Kids Choice Award Favorite Song. in Medellin, Sony distributed La Industria Inc. and then released ADN as his debut full-length album. In the Top Latin Albums chart, it reached No. 8. Vaina Loca, which was the Top Five smash hit in 2010, also featured Noriel alongside Ozuna. He dropped Dopamina which was his top charting sophomore album in the year following. In 2021 he recorded the duet to TINI's smash single Maldita Foto. 2023 was the year 2000 when the hit La Bachata was released. Turizo is a musician born in a home with a music program. Both his parents were also musicians. In interviews he has described playing music as an obligation. As a child he learned to play saxophone guitar ukulele and piano. Though his original career plan was to be a veterinarian for animals but his brother Julian convinced him to try taking singing lessons from an instructor in Cuban. The lessons changed his entire life.
